APPROVE PARCEL MAP NO. 2020-156 AT 8300 VALLEY VIEW STREET Purpose: To subdivide an existing 3.228-acre parcel into two parcels of 1.766 acres and 1.462 acres at 8300 Valley View Street, Buena Park. Recommended Action: 1) Approve Parcel Map No. 2020-156 at 8300 Valley View Street; and 2) Authorize the City Engineer and City Clerk to execute the parcel map. 13. RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE HIGH SPEED RAIL AUTHORITY (HSRA) TO INVESTIGATE AND REVIEW PROPOSED HIGH SPEED RAIL ALIGNMENT Purpose: To allow the HSRA to reimburse the City for time spent reviewing technical/engineering plans, agreements, and researching property rights and utility conflicts. The total reimbursement amount to the City is $100,000. Recommended Action: 1) Resolution to approve an agreement with the High Speed Rail Authority (HSRA) to review the proposed high speed rail alignment; 2) Authorize the City Manager and City Attorney to make any necessary, non-monetary changes to the agreement; and, 3) Authorize the Director of Public Works to execute the agreement. RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT WITH MIKE PRLICH AND SONS, INC. FOR THE SEWER UPSIZING ON BRENNER AVE AND MELROSE ST PROJECT Presented by Cesar Ortiz, P.E., Associate Engineer Purpose: Authorize the Public Works Department to hire a contractor to upsize the existing sewer main on Brenner Ave and Melrose St. Associated costs in the amount of $536,406 will be allocated from the project account (No. 52-9806-490034). Recommended Action: 1) Adopt a resolution approving plans and specifications for the Sewer Upsizing on Brenner Ave and Melrose St. Project; 2) Award a contract to Mike Prlich and Sons, Inc. in the amount of $462,716; 3) Authorize contingency funds in the amount of $46,000 in the same purchase order; 4) Authorize construction engineering funds in the amount of $25,000; 5) Authorize a purchase order for The Solis Group in the amount of $2,690 for Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) project administration; 6) Authorize the City Manager and the City Attorney to make any necessary, non-monetary changes to the contract; and 7) Authorize the City Manager and the City Clerk to execute the contract.
